In the world of development and social impact, conventional monitoring often overlooks the invaluable insights of the communities at the heart of the work. This training course is designed to empower M&E and project professionals to harness the power of community-based monitoring (CBM). By shifting the role of data collection and analysis to local community members, participants will learn how to build sustainable, context-specific monitoring systems that increase program accountability, generate richer data, and foster genuine community ownership and empowerment.
This comprehensive program provides a practical, hands-on roadmap for designing and implementing effective CBM initiatives. Participants will gain skills in training community members, selecting appropriate tools, and ensuring data quality while navigating the unique ethical and logistical challenges of community-led work. The course is a strategic investment for organizations aiming to build more inclusive, transparent, and responsive programs, ensuring that their M&E function is not a bureaucratic exercise but a powerful engine for social change and community-led development.
