Flood Disaster Risk Management In A Changing Climate

INTRODUCTION

Floods are a significant global challenge, causing loss of lives and extensive property damage, which hinders development. The increasing prevalence of floods due to global warming and urbanization demands robust strategies for disaster risk reduction. Effective flood disaster risk management is crucial for ensuring sustainable development and resilience in flood-prone areas. The "Flood Disaster Risk Management in a Changing Climate" workshop is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to address flood risks in the context of a changing climate. Participants will learn to assess flood risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement flood recovery programs. This comprehensive training will enable participants to identify flood vulnerabilities, apply appropriate mitigation measures, and develop sustainable solutions for flood risk management.
