Social Protection And Peacebuilding In Fragile Contexts Training Course

Introduction

In regions grappling with conflict, violence, and instability, the strategic integration of Social Protection and Peacebuilding offers a transformative pathway towards resilience, social cohesion, and sustainable peace. This essential training course is meticulously designed to equip humanitarian actors, peacebuilders, social protection practitioners, government officials, and development professionals with the specialized knowledge and practical skills required to understand and implement the role of social protection in conflict-affected areas. Participants will gain a robust understanding of conflict sensitivity, shock-responsive social protection, gender-transformative approaches, reconciliation, and integrated programming, enabling them to design interventions that not only address immediate needs but also contribute to long-term stability. Our comprehensive curriculum emphasizes hands-on application, best practices, and real-world case studies pertinent to fragile and conflict-affected contexts in Nairobi, Kenya, and the wider East African region, empowering you to build peace through social welfare.

This conflict-sensitive social protection course is crucial for individuals and organizations in Kenya and across Africa striving to strengthen their capacity to operate effectively in challenging environments, prevent relapse into violence, and foster inclusive development in post-conflict settings.
